Victoria Beckham Denim!

$390 at netaporter.com. What do you guys think? I'm loving!

Friday, January 29, 2010

Now Purchasing:

Stella McCartney Eyeglasses...for my trip to Roatan. Everything about Stella McCartney is so understated and impossibly chic. I love these! They are kind of similar to a pair of Marc Jacobs that I wanted (I am loving him right now...) but have been recently discontinued. These will definitely do, though. I am looking forward to rocking them.

Wow...Gucci Spring 2010

Freida has really been trying to get on my good side lately...Look at these boots! Absolutely amazing. I am a die-hard Tom Ford fan, and in theory, I am not allowed to like Freida's designes...but this season I am finding that remarkably difficult. Could it be she's starting to grow on me?

Okay, so these are screamin' right? Nuff said. $650.

The Fantasy Wish List

#4: A Pair of Luxury Leggings a la Emanuelle Alt
Ok, I am dyyyyying for a pair of leather leggings. It's all I want at this point. They are the chicest things in the world...both Christmas and my birthday fall in December, so I think I am going to buy myself a pair as a "thank you for being awsome" gift...because let's face it...no one in my family would even think to buy me a pair of these...except my brother, now that I'm thinking about it. He knows me all too well. Anyway, the first pair are by the ever-amazing Maison Martin Mariegla, for about $2k. The middle pair are by Siwy, and they retail for $228. The third pair are by Fendi, and are roughly $1900. Below: Armani Exchange offers a pair that are not asssssss desireable, but are only $295. The last pair are by Alice & Olivia, and go for $330.

The Fantasy Wish List

#3: Anything by Christian Louboutin.
That's right. Any girl in her right, stylish mind would flip over a pair of Louboutins. It is the one item that is essentially go to. It is a fail safe. So, say it's December 24th, 4:15pm, and your losing your mind because you know every store in your city is about to close up for the holiday, and you STILL haven't bought that perfect little gift for that irreplaceable woman in your life (tisk, tisk...). No need to worry. Just head over to the closest Barney's or Neiman Marcus and pick out a pair...any pair will do. Good luck!

The Fantasy Wish List

#2: Alexis Bittar Molten Bracelate
This bracelate is both minimal and contemporary, yet classic and sophisticated, which makes this piece extremely versatile. You can always count on Alexis Bittar to come with something unique, but this little treasure is a steal at just under $400.

The Fantasy Wish List

#1: The YSL Easy Tote.

Ok. So holiday season is just around the corner...again, and I thought it would be fun to create a wish list guide for all the things I think are desirable these days. Hopefully I can help out some of my lady friends out there but directing your guys to some amazing pieces for the holiday you'll be celebrating this upcoming season. Seeing that my blog is titled "Rue Yves Saint Laurent", I thought it only fitting that I kick this off with a piece from the aforementioned design house. Not only is this bag is carried by the one and only Emanuelle Alt, I feel like a YSL tote is crucial to any girls wardrobe. MSRP: $995.00. Happy Holidays.

Dolce & Gabbana - The Anthology

I absolutely adore Dominico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana. I feel like they owe it to the female population to continue doing what they do, which is making women all over the world feel extremely glamourous, sexy, desired, and loved.
I was out shopping with my mom this afternoon, and came across their new Anthology collection, and feel inlove, completely. Each scent is distinct and defined, and beautiful. I want each and every one of the female scents. I have also decided that my perfect man would be posession of the male fragrances. When I first saw the ad for this collection a few months ago, I didn't really know what to expect from the individual scents. Quite honestly, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, initially. It wasn't until I smelled the scents in person - the samples in the ads do nothing for them - that I understood, and in turned loved, the genius of this collection. Needless to say, I invested a beautiful chunk of change on my first of the five, #18, La Lune. But I need them all, so I am barely satisfied. I feel remarkably attractive while wearing this...it's amazing.

From left to Right:
Le Bateleur (#1)
The Personality: The Seducer. Provacative and playful - ragingly passionate, yet inevitably cool - this is a man who gets what he wants. Dominant and distinctive, resolutely direct, Le Bateleur is an accomplished Mediterranean seducer.
L'Imperatrice (#3)
The Personality: The Star. Flamboyant and energetic, for L'Imperatrice life is a movie and she is its heroine. All heads turn when she enters a room. Vibrant, magnetic she exudes charisma and force of character.
L'Amoureux (#6)
The Personality: The Charmer. An incurable romantic in posession of an inherent nobility, dashing L'Amoureux melts the most cynical of hearts. Desired by all he meets, this charmer is all about intensity.
La Roue De La Fortune (#10)
The Personality: The Player. Adventurous and creative - the epitome of surprise - La Roue De La Fortune is governed by the roll of the dice. It's wearers are intrepid, experimental, players of life's game.
La Lune (#18)
The Personality: The Dreamer. La Lune is a perfect enigma: fresh yet sensual, dazzling yet forever retaining her secrets. She enthralls everyone she encounters with her radiant and ethereal beauty.
Trust me, go buy one for yourself, and one for your loved one. It changes things. Verrrrry Sexy.

YSL Heels

Hello everyone. I know I haen't been blogging recently, but the truth is...I'm a little uninspired at the moment. I should be back in top form soon, though. In the meantime, I wanted to do a quick blog about YSL pumps. The shoes to the right still make me lose my composure everytime I seem them. Sometimes, if I'm having a superiorly cruddy day, such as today, I'll whip this out and look at it. It serves as a reminder of everything I'm working for. Take care and have a greater day!

Miu Miu A/W 09.10 by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot

Happy first day of Autumn! Fall and Winter are two of my favorite seasons of the year. Just because you get to be super-cozy, which I love. Anyway, my big must have for the upcomming season, besides a new Seattle pad (still looking, lol) is a fur boa. You can't go wrong with one. Pair it with a fitted leather jacket or blazer and your good to go. Take a hint from Miucca Prada. She's got the right idea, lol.

Fall Must Have Item #3: Helmut Lang Shearling Vest

Okay so I need this now. Helmut Lang is one of my top 10 favorite designers. Even though Lang himself no longer designs for the label (so sad to have your own name stolen from you) I still love the pieces they turn out each season. This vest is ultra-lux, and retails for around $1795...and is worth each and every penny. I would totally buy this if I just had that laying around somewhere.

Fall Must Have Item #2: Kain Tank Tops

To many of us, KAIN Label tank tops are nothing new. They are kind of a wardrobe staple at this point because they're super-luxe and go with everything. They come in almost every color imaginable (usually) and aren't SUPER high priced like some of it's counterparts. They retail for around $90, which isn't too bad when you consider what your getting. Over the weekend I was in Los Angeles (the city of angels, which is true, because I was there, lol) and I saw this stunning Eastern European girl in an electric blue one. She looked amaing. She was also rocking a tan Balenciaga tote as well...lucky. But seeing her just reaffirmes that KAIN tanks are king and everyone should have one.

Fall Wish List Item #1: Ivory Vuitton Epi Leather Speedy - 30

I am proud to say that in alot of ways, I admire my mom. She is classiest woman I have ever met. She radiates pure Honduran elegance. She has the most beautiful pale skin and ultra black hair which she has worn in a continuous chignon for the entirety of my life. I say that to say this: my mom has one designer item. A handbag, no less. A Louis Vuitton Canvas leather Speedy 30, which my dad bought her back when I was a kid, running around Monterey Beach. Love. So it should come as no surprise that I have recently discovered a craving for a speedy myself. The Epi Leather Speedy in Ivory. It’s just perfect. You just throw your blackberry and your passport in there and you’re ready for anything. I never thought I would want a Vuitton, because they are so completely over exposed, but the Epi is just low key enough. Those who need to know, know. Understated elegance at its best.

!

So I absolutely need a pair of these Akiko Ogawa boots. Chanel Iman, above and below, rocks them amazingly. I have got to find out where I can get a pair. I'd first noticed them about a month or so ago at JAK & JIL (his photo below) and have been thinking about them ever since.

They are avant-garde and fashion forward, but not scary. If someone who didn't understand fashion were to see me, hopefully, walking around downtown Seattle, they wouldn't be like, OMG, one of those fashion types who are really just fashion disasters. Avant Garde, let's face it, can be a little scary to the average person. But with these boots, your covered.

Chloe Handbags - Fall 2009

So I've decided that I am loving Chloe for Autumn 2009. Chloe bags are considered a wardrobe staple: They have so many bags that are both classic and chic. Chloe bags very rarely become dated. Even the Paddington is still considered current, in my opinion. If you were to see someone walking around downtown with a Paddington, you wouldn't be like, OMG, 2004 flashback. If she were rocking it right, you would just think, "wow, she is really chic".

So, with that theory in mind, and the economy being the way it is, I have decided to invest a Chloe, myself. I am hoping to get the dark brown Genna (above). So Chic.
If I were lucky, and could afford it, I would also buy the Paraty in Python, shown above as well. When Phoebie left Chloe, back in 2006, to spend more time with her new daughter, one had to wonder about the direction of the house. Thankfully, they have managed to stay strong with their accessories line, which is beneficial for everyone.

Classic Olivia

The classic black blazer is still the best night time look by far, in my opinion. Sophisticated. You can never have too many. Helmut Lang, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Zara. You can't go wrong. It's just chic. Chic, Chic, Chic!

La Perla Beachwear

La Perla always has the best imagery. I wish they would put a little of what they put into their lingerie and swimwear into their pret-a-porter, because it is lacking.
